    Usana’s Reset Your Life Kit

    Usana has just introduced their all new, Reset Kit. This program offers you the absolute best opportunity to RESET your LIFE. Now the reset kit is not necessarily a bowel cleanse, but instead, a cleanse from your typical All-American Diet. Their Macro-Optimizer meal and snack replacements combine the good, low-glycemic carbohydrates, good fats, and good proteins. These meal and snack replacements provide the body with all the macronutrients the body requires. The Health Pak provides all of the micronutrients the body requires at these optimal or advance levels that I strongly recommend for everyone.

    Your body will literally get a break from your normal diet and you will quickly reverse any glycemic stress, carbohydrate addiction, and significantly improve insulin sensitivity. This will allow your body to begin "tipping back" into a normal metabolic state and possibly even begin "releasing fat" for the first time.

    • You begin consuming the Health Pak twice daily with your nutritional drinks.
    • You are also encouraged to begin exercising. If you are not involved in a regular exercise program, you want to begin very slowly. The DVD that is included in this package offers you a very good exercise program that you can begin right away.
    • You have 3 Macro-Optimizer meal replacements 3 times daily and 2 Macro-Optimizer snack replacements daily. As you will quickly learn, this is not a starvation program. You should not go hungry. If you are hungry, you should have an additional nutritional bar or drink. This is a good reason to have some extra Macro-Optimizers available, especially if you are a very active or heavier individual. I will address this more in the FAQ's.
    • You can begin adding some frozen fruit to your drinks after the 2nd day.

    Usana's Reset Your Life Kit is an excellent beginning to new, healthier lifestyles. However, it is just that-a beginning. Once you completed the reset kit, you should strongly consider going on to Phase 1 of my Healthy for Life Program. In Phase 1, you have 2 Macro-Optimizer Meal Replacements and 1 Snack Replacement along with 1 regular low-glycemic meal and 1 regular low-glycemic snack. Again, if you are hungry you should have another low-glycemic meal or snack. You should also avoid all sugar, bread, flour, rice, pasta, cereals, and potatoes. You need to continue your exercise program and either Usana's Health Pak or Usana's Essentials. This will allow the healthy changes that began with the Reset Kit to continue and improve. You will slowly reverse any possible insulin insensitivity and "tip back" into a normal metabolic state. This allows your blood pressure to improve, your bad or LDL cholesterol and triglycerides to decrease, your HDL or good cholesterol to increase, and decrease your risk of heart disease and diabetes. The other exciting side effect of this program is the fact that you will begin to release fat, possibly for the first time in your life.

    The Healthy for Life Program is really not too hard. How hard is it to never go hungry, feel great, have more energy, and have greater focus and concentration? My patients have never complained. They become very excited when they begin to see their health improve and they begin to lose weight and they are not even trying.

    Once you are well on your way to achieving your health and weight goals, you move on to Phase 2 of the Healthy for Life Program. In phase of the program you have 1 Macro-Optimizer meal and 1 snack replacement along with 2 regular low-glycemic meals and 1 regular low-glycemic snack. Again, you do not go hungry. If you are hungry, you simply have another low-glycemic meal or snack. Now you begin adding back those healthy, whole grain cereals and bread along with healthy pasta, rice, and potatoes.

    The Healthy for Life Program is a 15-month program. It is critical to realize that this NOT a diet. These are healthy lifestyles that you want to be doing for the rest of your life. I have found over the past 10 years of providing this program to my patients in my clinical practice that it takes 15 months to firmly establish these new, healthier lifestyles. This is why have developed this internet program. It is convenient, effective, and my patients have been very successful in improving their health and the only side effect has been permanent weight loss if you have excessive weight. Our lifestyles have literally been established over a lifetime. They are not that easy to change. In fact, behavioral modification is one of the most difficult challenges I have ever faced. Reading a book or listening to a CD may be helpful but is just that-only helpful. This is why 99% plus of the diets fail no matter which diet you are talking about. Diets are a short-term solution for a long-term problem.

    The internet Healthy for Life Program offers you a very affordable way to have the education, support, motivation, and accountability that is needed to make these healthy lifestyles a permanent aspect of your life. You will receive daily emails from me for the first 12 weeks of the program along with weekly trainings. You will receive weekly emails and monthly advanced training this last 12 months of the program. Usana Health Sciences and the Healthy for Life Program have just completed a 12 week clinical trial under the guidelines and certification of the Western International Review Board (IRB) under FDA guidelines. The participants lost an average of 13 pounds and lost 2 ½ inches from their waistline. Their total cholesterol dropped an average of 17%, their LDL or bad cholesterol dropped an average of 21%, and their triglycerides dropped an average of 31%. Their blood pressure decreased an average of 8%--both diastolic and systolic. Their Insulin Sensitivity Index increased an average of 11%.
